Adrian is from Montego Bay, Jamaica; he migrated in 1997 initially to Philadelphia PA, and then to Raleigh NC. This is his 9th year at Exploris. He taught middle, and high school mathematics for the past 3 years. Adrian graduated from Saint Augustine's University cum laude in 2005 with a Bachelor's degree in mathematics. He believes that each student has the ability and capacity to learn new things no matter how difficult they may think a subject matter is. He believes that teaching and learning go hand in hand. He is an example of different learning/teaching styles as he struggled with learning Calculus as a senior in high school, but once being introduced to a different teaching style as a freshman in college it was a breeze. Academic accomplishments include honors graduate with a 3.7 GPA in mathematics. Athletic accomplishments include 14 time All-American in Track and Field; 9 time NCAA II champion; 2008 World Indoor Championships Silver Medalist in Valencia, Spain; 2008 Olympic Games for Jamaica in Beijing, China, and 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi India. He spends the bulk of his summer days teaching math digitally. where he prepares students going into math I or math II.
