Paradise Taylor, 7th Grade Profile Photo

For the past 10 years, I have dedicated my career to teaching middle school — a space I truly believe is transformative. I earned my degree in Middle Grades Education with a concentration in Math and Science from North Carolina Central University, where I developed not only my foundation as an educator but also a deep understanding of the responsibility and privilege it is to shape young minds during such critical years.

I believe with all my heart in every single one of my students — even on the days when they may not yet believe in themselves. I pour into my students holistically because I know that real learning cannot happen without real connection. There is no deep understanding without trust. There is no growth without relationship.

Relationships are one of our core values, and they are the heartbeat of my classroom. I intentionally create an environment where students feel seen, heard, valued, and challenged. I want them to recognize their brilliance, think critically, ask bold questions, and see how interconnected the world — and they — truly are.

Teaching is not just my profession; it is my calling. After 10 years in the classroom, my passion has only grown stronger. I show up every day committed to doing this work with purpose, passion, and heart.
