Stacey Kaufman, 6th Grade

Stacey Kaufman is a science nerd through and through. After earning a B.S. in Physics and an M.S. in Secondary Science Education from University of Tennessee, Knoxville, she moved to Raleigh to begin her teaching career.

Over the past 18 years, she has launched two physics programs at local charter schools and created curriculum for various electives, including Engineering Fundamentals, Forensics, and Science & Photography. She has also held a variety of leadership positions, such as science department head and instructional coach. In 2022, she was named Teacher of the Year at Research Triangle High School.

In her free time, Stacey can be found wandering through antique stores, supporting her teenage sons in their various endeavors, coloring in one of her many coloring books, or vacationing in a super cool Airbnb.
